We are excited to announce that the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels has awarded ESNKY a 2016 Good Works grant! The grant has provided ESNKY with two automatic external defibrillators, 2 defibrillation electronic pads and two battery PAD packs. Staff has received training in CPR/First Aid/AED prior to opening of the emergency shelter on Nov. 1 in preparation.We are thrilled to have our very own units on site. This will continue to provide the best care for our guests.
The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization of talented and capable men and women appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth because of their service to the state. Their primary objective is to support needy Kentucky charities and worthy Kentucky organizations by raising money from their membership to help those organizations who stand ready to help our citizens share in Kentucky’s boundless future. This year, KY Colonels awarded over $1.5 million dollars for 174 grants which will serve nearly 60% of all KY residents in some way. We are honored to be included as one of the 174.
