Emergency Shelter & Transitional Work Program

 

Who do we Serve?

  • Adult Men (18+)
  • Kentucky Residents (must have Kentucky state-issued picture ID)
  • A desire and willingness to make commitments, keep appointments, and implement necessary changes to better current circumstances

 

How to enter emergency shelter?

  • Evening line starts at 5:30 pm. with doors opening at 6:00 pm. It is first come first serve with priority entrance for those with KY ID’s. We are located at 436 W. 13th Street, Covington KY 41011.

  • Must be able to walk in on your own two feet and follow our community guidelines.
  • Look for our bright blue Street Outreach bus in the community or email Street Outreach.

When & How to Apply for Transitional Work Program?

The Work Program is offered to men to work on step-by-step goals towards gaining employment, improving overall health, securing permanent housing and starting a financial savings plan.  The transition program assists with the overall community goal of decreasing homelessness. We do not require payment and we provide paid staff to oversee the progress of our guests. We also work with existing case management services to meet guests’ needs

  • Space is limited, program participants will be added as beds become available.

What do we Provide?

  • A stable and safe environment to sleep
  • Two meals per day
  • Showers/Self Service Laundry
  • Clothing for work
  • Computer Workstations, cell phone charging stations, secure courtyard
  • One-on-one support to work toward sustainable income and housing with a Housing Advocate.
  • We work with existing case management services to meet guests’ needs.
  • Information/referrals for services with community partners.
