Partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Covington

The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky (ESNKY) is dedicating an entire week to highlighting our partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Covington. Since our inception, the Diocese has been a champion of ESNKY's Life Saving, Life Changing mission to provide low barrier shelter and services to adults in our community.

ESNKY is grateful for the financial support we receive from the Diocesan Parish Annual Appeal (DPAA) and are thrilled to announce a 2024-2025 grant of $12,500 to support our Winter Cold Shelter program. Last year, this program helped 495 guests and provided 9,175 nights of safe and secure shelter from November 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024.

Thank you to the Most Rev. John C. Iffert, Bishop of Covington, for his leadership and vision, to the Office of Stewardship & Mission Services, and to the thousands of DPAA donors who make this grant possible, we are truly blessed.

ESNKY Executive Director Kim M. Webb, who is a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Parish, recently spoke to the Crosier Guild, sharing the immense impact of donations made through the Diocesan Parish Annual Appeal (DPAA).

Regular meal donors and servers include Mother of God Parish Council and the Congregation of Divine Providence Associates, just some of the many dedicated valued volunteers who give of themselves at ESNKY. Thank you so much to all our meal donors and servers who bring sustenance and joy to the lives of our guests!

There aren’t enough hours in the day to share all the amazing stories of volunteers here at ESNKY. We especially love the hundreds of Catholic School students like Easton who recently conducted a coat drive with his family and friends.
