Happy 3rd Anniversary

Happy Anniversary & Happy Valentine’s Day!

I love that today is a day of love and will forever coincide with the day we moved into our forever home. Each year is a new milestone and today marks 3 years since our first night of shelter at 436 W. 13th street. From the first staff, the first guests, the first volunteers, the first meal, the first staff meal in the Oasis, there was so much promise and hope for what we could accomplish in a space designed to shelter people and to be an employer of choice with new furniture and all the amenities.  

We have grown so much and became even better at what we do all while staying true to our belief that everyone deserves a bed to sleep in and our mission to provide Life Saving, Life Changing shelter and services to adults in our NKY community. We have continued to help people on the phone or at the door without regard to definitions, economic status, addiction, legal background, or knowing a reason why someone needs us. We simply answer, call them a guest, give each of them a voice and choice in what they need to and then we listen.  We have deepened partnerships within our community as well.

There are so many people to thank, and every year for fear I miss someone, so if you are reading this, just know how much gratitude we have for your help to get here.
