Life Saving, Life Changing

Do you have a heart for service? Looking for a new challenge?

The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to deepen our community connections and coordinate volunteer efforts.

ESNKY’s VISTA Community Engagement Specialist will create and implement a program that recruits and trains a network of community members who will become an integral component of all shelter programming. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem solving and system building, be comfortable interacting with both individuals and groups and understand the value of data tracking as a tool for evaluation and quality improvement.  Personal experience as a volunteer is helpful as well as familiarity with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc) and online software (Sign Up Genius, Little Green Light).

It’s an exciting time to be a part of the ESNKY team as we move into our new facility at 436 West 13th Street in downtown Covington in the fall.  This full-time VISTA service opportunity will play a pivotal role in helping Northern Kentucky’s only low-barrier, immediate-bed shelter fulfill its life saving, life changing mission.
