Dear ESNKY Friends,
This year marks a huge milestone in the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky’s history, our fifteenth year of providing life saving, life changing low- barrier shelter and services to adults experiencing homelessness in Northern Kentucky. Last year, we served 1,445 human beings, neighbors that needed a bed to sleep in, to take a shower, do their own laundry, get fed, clothed and more importantly build relationships.
When we talk about the outcomes of our programs, it is just not the stats, the outcome of many of our programs is that our neighbors that live and work among us did not suffer or die outside. They were inside. Surrounded by incredible staff, volunteers and donors - and often that is all that is needed.
Please join us in commemorating our Crystal Anniversary, celebrating all that we have accomplished, from opening our first cold shelter, launching the transitional housing work program, pioneering the partnerships that created the healthcare clinic, and finally expanding to provide services 24/7, 365 days a year.
Traditionally, the 15th anniversary is the “crystal” anniversary. As we celebrate all our achievements, one thing remains crystal clear…
low barrier, immediate-entry, and triage services are critical to the long-term success of our guests, and valuable to our entire community.
I hope that you will give generously in honor of our crystal anniversary, making a meaningful gift to propel us into the next 15 years of service. The compassion, respect, and dignity that we provide to each of our guests is only possible thanks to your investment in our mission and the belief that everyone should have a bed to sleep in.
It’s crystal clear, your support makes a difference.
With gratitude,
Kim M. Webb
Executive Director, Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky
