We are so thankful to the Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation!
After 10 years in this building, it was time to replace the carpets! Not healthy and certainly not easy to keep clean. After applying to the Elsa Sule Foundation for $10,020 to remove carpet and replace with luxury vinyl tile (LVT), the project was started as soon as winter cold shelter finished. April was spent ripping up the carpet with assistance from Kenton County Detention Center work crew, Spectra Flooring came onsite to install and kudos to Mr. Shad Sletto for being the project manager! . It was certainly transformational! It totally changes the appearance of the shelter, easier to clean and healthier! Guests and staff were all smiles when we opened the doors on May 1 for our summer programs.
We are fortunate to have great foundations that are able to assist with funding a project that assists us with continuing to provide quality sheltering.
Take a look for your self!
